1 What are the charges for resellers? What is the monthly fee for resellers?

Answer:

What the reseller pays depends on what service he is reselling. There are basically 4 services, which a reseller can sell. Call-through, call-back, Callshop and calling-card services. For all these services the reseller must set up his own infrastructure for managing and supporting his own clients. No monthly fees, to pay United Connect, however initial cost are:-

  • GBP 500 ($925) for training & Switch Partition. This will be refunded after 6 month, if the average turnover across all active groups reaches GBP 10,000 ($18,500) by the third month of operation, and continues to grow.
  • For every special, dedicated European access numbers ordered you are charged at GBP 50 ($92.50) per number set-up. There could also be a monthly charge based on the originating country.
  • Set up fee for forwarding accounts is GBP 50 ($92.50), and a charge of GBP 10 (18.50) per year, or 1 ($1.85) per month for each number.
  • GBP 10.00 ($18.50) per annum or 1.00 ($1.85) per month for each DDI number for Call-back service.

2 Please give us reseller rates for reselling call-through or calling card services from a chosen country?

Answer:

When calculating the reseller rates for a call-through or a calling card service, the call rate from a country to any other country is dependant on 2 factors. The free phone charge from that country to UK and then the outbound charge for termination to the destination country. UnitedConnect will provide the reseller with a per second charge rate for the free phone number and a per second rate charge for all the worldwide destinations. It is then up to the reseller to decide on rates that he wishes to sell to his clients. 3. Can the reseller use a credit card to prepay for the service?

Answer:

Yes. You can provide a signed authorization letter to UnitedConnect authorizing the company to deduct funds from your credit card and to add this to your account partition. All credit card clearance is done in UK and carries a 4% clearance fee.

4 What are the terms and conditions for resellers?

Answer:

These are described in the reseller contract, which is provided to potential resellers once the reseller decides to go ahead and UnitedConnect are confident that the reseller is able to provide the services which they have requested from their country.

5. Do you provide calling cards / phone cards from a particular country for resellers?

Answer:

UnitedConnect do not print or produce their own brand of calling cards. However, we are able to provide calling card services from any country where there is a free phone service available. This is provided as an infrastructure service to resellers who wish to print and distribute their own calling cards. The list of countries where this service is available is constantly increasing and for information about a particular country, please contact customer services.

6 What is the commission structure for a reseller?

Answer:

Commission structure is only for distributors who are promoting UnitedConnect products directly to the end user. Resellers do not get commission from UnitedConnect. In case of a Reseller, UnitedConnect provides the reseller with wholesale rates to all international destinations. The reseller is free to resell these rates to his clients at the price they wish to sell. The difference between the UnitedConnect wholesale rate to the reseller and the reseller rate to his client is the profit made by the reseller. 7 Do you provide USA toll free/1800 numbers?

Answer:

Yes.

8 Are there any discounts for resellers?

Answer:

UnitedConnect provides the reseller with wholesale rates to all international destinations. The reseller is free to resell these rates to his clients at the price they wish to sell. The difference between the UnitedConnect wholesale rates to the reseller and the reseller rate to his clients is the profit made by the reseller. The rates UnitedConnect provide are competitive and are aimed to help the reseller to develop his telecommunication business. 9 What is UK VAT? Do you charge UK VAT/taxes on top of the rates to resellers?

Answer:

VAT is the UK "Value added Tax" which is currently 17.5% on all sales done inside any EEC country. This is a government tax, which has to be levied on all sales within EEC. The rates provided to reseller are dependent on the country of the reseller. For resellers outside EEC there is no VAT charge on invoices. If the reseller is based in EEC then they are eligible to UK VAT at 17.5%, which is added to the invoice.

10 Can UnitedConnect provide rates in US$, Euro and UK?

Answer:

Yes. The rates provided by UnitedConnect to the reseller are per second billing rates and can be offered in UK, US$ and Euros.

11 Do you have open-ended accounts and accounts with limited value?

Answer:

Yes your clients can have both the facilities.

14 Do you provide CDRs in text-delimited format so we can bill the client from our end?

Answer:

Yes, you can download daily and monthly CDRs directly from the web. The daily CDRs are one day delayed and the monthly CDRs are generated on first of each month for the previous months records.

15 Do you charge for uncompleted calls?

Answer:

For a reseller, charging is per leg. Resellers charging starts when the destination number for that leg is answered.
But you can set the billing options for your customers as you see fit. There are various billing options and depending on the product and the market you are involved in you can select the most applicable billing option.

For reseller charging is per leg but for your customers it is entirely up to you depending on the billing strategy adopted. There are various billing options and depending on the product and the market you are involved in you can select the most applicable billing option.

19 Does your system provide Voice balance for the end user?

Answer:

Yes. If you wish to provide this service for the end user, the service can be enabled for your clients.

20 Should your carrier fail to route the call to a particular country, are you able to reroute the calls through alternative carriers?

Answer:

Yes. We are able to terminate international calls through various channels. If one channel fails, we can quickly reroute through an alternative channel or carrier.

21 What is the maximum length of a single call?

Answer:

The maximum duration set on our system is 90 minutes for a single call. If the user's call exceeds 90 minutes, it shall get automatically cut off by the system.

22 With regards to our services and contracts :

Answer:

  1. We operate a prepaid reseller service, all services are prepaid
  2. You are charged for all calls made on a per second basis
  3. Once you start with us, you are allocated an account manager. Then a group is created for your clients and the group parameters are set up in order to provide the service which you require. You can set up unlimited number of accounts under your group. All accounts created under the same group behave the same and according to group specifications.
  4. We provide a support service from 9.00am to 17:30pm Monday to Friday (London time)
  5. We provide a secure access to your group on a 24 hour basis via the Internet
  6. For call back accounts, there is a charge of GBP10 ($18.50) per DDI per year
  7. You are charged GBP500 ($925) for Teledome training & Switch Partition. This will be refunded after 6 month, if the average turn-over across all active groups reaches GBP 10,000 ($18,500) by the third month of operation, and continues to grow.
  8. You are charged GBP 50 ($92.50) for every special, dedicated European access number ordered.
  9. You are charged a set-up fee of GBP 50 ($92.50) for forwarding accounts. Also GBP 10 ($18.50) per number per year, or 1 ($1.85) per month for each numbers
